Neurobiology of BDSM Talk
DIVULGACIÓN
📝The acronym BDSM is already widely known within current sexuality and is part, to a greater or lesser extent, of the non-normative sexuality of a large number of people. However, the erotic construction of non-normative sexual tastes are not so well known and are often called fetishes or paraphilias: what are the bio-psychosocial components of BDSM? Why domination and pain generate pleasure?
People who practice BDSM suffer from stigma is an irrefutable fact; they have always been seen as dark people who have extravagant sexual tastes that should be treated. However, is this true in reality? What is the profile of people who practice BDSM? Does it work the same in each role?
In this talk, we will analyze all these topics from a bio - psycho - social point of view, Sara, an expert in neuroscience, will provide the bio-psycho perspective, while Jose, a sexologist with a gender perspective, will provide the psycho-social vision.
